The homeowner wanted to install a garden shed and also have storage space in an area of the back garden between the boundary walls. This area is of highly irregular shape, so we proposed installing a bespoke garden shed at the very end, and then continue with a covered, waterproof outdoor sitting area at the front where the space is wider.

• We installed a timber roof structure with 10mm Multiwall Polycarbonate Clear, which is great for lean-tos, BBQ shelters, car ports and smoking shelters. It means that no electrical lighting is required in the garden shed during daytime.
• We extended the line of the roof over the outdoor sitting area.
• We installed guttering and down-pipe to take the rain water from the roof. A wooden barrel will be installed to recycle rainwater.
• We covered the block walls surrounding the sitting area with shiplap cladding boards to give a warm and cosy appearance.
